We would like to congratulate Josh Antus and Mike Hollester on being September’s winning team for our Boost For Our Heroes Golf Challenge! The team from our sponsors, California Coast Credit Union, brought their A game and took the victory by the narrowest of margins. The winners take home Cleveland wedges thanks to Cleveland Golf! Congrats, Josh and Mike, on a great round of 51.
Thanks to the support of our sponsors and our hosts, Emerald Isle, we are going to have a round two for this year’s classic! That’s right, take October to practice your shots and gather your team, then join us throughout November for round two! You can purchase your first round – or pay and play again if you already played in September. We will announce another winning team at the end of November. Also, at the conclusion of this year’s event we will raffle off a special prize to one team that played in either month, thanks to our sponsors at SHARP.
Due to COVID-19, social distancing and large gathering restrictions we are unable to host our regular Boost For Our Heroes Golf Classic. However we are excited to provide you with the opportunity to support our Boost for Our Heroes program and award by introducing our Boost For Our Heroes Challenge 2020.
In partnership with Emerald Isle Executive Golf Course we have created a unique and fun format taking place the entire month of September and November. This special event will allow sponsors and individuals to support our programs. Bring your coworkers, family and friends all September and November long! Register today!
THE DETAILS:
FORMAT: Best Ball: Each player will play their own ball. Example: Golfer A and Golfer B make up a team, and on the first hole A scores 5 and B scores 4, 4 is the team score on Hole 1 and so on through all 18 holes. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the month to the top (3) teams and there will be random drawing after each week. Prizes awarded for a hole-in-one as well! *No handicaps will be used.
All funds raised during the challenge will be used to support the Boost for Our Heroes program. Upon completion of your round you will put your scorecard in the Challenge 2020 scorecard box in the Emerald Isle Golf shop.

All of the funds raised by the golf challenge are directly re-invested in to our Boost For Our Heroes program. The golf tournament is critical in allowing us to continue to provide free financial education to our large military population here in San Diego. The golf tournament also allows us to continue to provide our quarterly Boost For Our Heroes $3000 award.
