We are always looking to expand the breadth of our financial literacy offerings with all of our partners, and no education partner has worked with us more to accomplish this goal than San Diego Mesa College. In May, we visited Mesa College seven times! Our visits included participating in Professor Howard Eskew’s personal finance class’ budgeting activity and the completion of the semester long campus wide speaker series.
On May 3, SDFLC volunteers from California Coast Credit Union, CHASE Bank and Financial coach 4 you along with our staff reviewed students personal budgets one on one finishing our semester long involvement in the personal finance class. May 10th brought the conclusion of the Mesa College personal finance speaker series and moderator Howard Eskew asked the expert panel questions regarding a wide range of personal finance topics. While enjoying their lunch attendees also composed questions of their own for the experts. We look forward to doing it again next semester!
